About

After receiving a 2.1 in Media Technology at Leeds, I had 12 years at the BBC putting those skills to the test before becoming the experienced and versatile freelance Producer/Director I am today.

I worked in many capacities at the BBC including AVID Editor for Drama and Entertainment editing a daily broadcast programme for 3 years before moving on to edit produce the seminal game show, Weakest Link.

Moving departments I developed my self-shooting and lighting skills within a film unit for the Multiplatform department covering Entertainment, Drama and Factual genres, producing compelling short-form films for online. Working with a multitude of talent and in a range of challenging locations and scenarios helped give me the confidence to embrace any situation and revel in the job at hand.

Subsequently I produced engaging mainstream Factual and Entertainment red button projects such as Top Gear, Chelsea Flower Show and Bang Goes The Theory before moving into BBC Events. Here I covered the landmark Royal Wedding, The Teaching Awards and the timeless One Man and his Dog amongst others, creating VT films and editing as-live programmes for later broadcast, always to extremely tight transmission deadlines.

Since going freelance in 2011, I have continued to work with major broadcasters such as the BBC and ITV on shows as diverse as The British Academy Film Awards, The Diamond Jubilee and The X-Factor but have also striven to work on a wide range of corporate commissions for businesses like Unilever and L&Q along with more commercial work for well-known faces like Michael Palin. It is this variety in my daily work that inspires and drives me, be it editing, filming or producing/directing.

I pride myself on providing a creative, professional, calm, polite and capable service, delivered with good humour and always on time.
