About

I am an Experienced Video Producer, expert in creating bespoke broadcast and online content for broadcasters and corporate commercial clients to meet their creative vision.

I began my career at the BBC, working in many capacities including as an AVID Editor for Drama and Entertainment, editing a daily broadcast programme for three years before moving on to edit produce the seminal game show, The Weakest Link.

I developed my self-shooting and lighting skills within a film unit for the BBC’s Multiplatform department covering Entertainment, Drama and Factual genres. Here, I produced compelling short-form films for online in a range of challenging locations and scenarios. working with a multitude of talent.

Subsequently, I produced mainstream Factual and Entertainment Red Button projects including Top Gear, Chelsea Flower Show and Bang Goes The Theory before moving into BBC Events.

Here, I covered the landmark Royal Wedding (2011), The Teaching Awards and One Man and His Dog amongst others, creating VT films and editing as-live programmes for later broadcast to extremely tight transmission deadlines.

Since becoming freelance in 2011, I have continued to work with major broadcasters such as the BBC and ITV on shows as diverse as The British Academy Film Awards, The Diamond Jubilee and The X-Factor.

I have also worked on a wide range of corporate commissions for businesses like the Royal Society of Arts, the Design Council, Unilever and L&Q. In addition, I work on commercial projects for celebrities including Sir Michael Palin, who I have a long association of collaborating with on his theatre tours.

Holding a 2:1 degree in Media Technology at Leeds, I am also technically proficient, continuing to use all relevant production software and technology including Adobe software such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Audition and After Effects, alongside FCP X, Motion and AVID Media Composer. I use a wide variety of cameras, Canon C300, Sony FS5, FS7, PXW-X200 and PMW-500, Blackmagic URSA G2 as well as Canon 7D, 5D and Nikon D5300 DSLR cameras in my daily work.
